On holiday in Portknockie up in the Scottish Highlands.
Have been playing with ink and wash with my first attempt being the Bow and Fiddle Rock (very near the lovely cottage we're in).

Followed by Cullen Beach

which isn't great and looking at the photo

probably best left as a photo or to be done as a watercolour?

Much happier with this image of Portsoy Harbour.

The costal walks along the cliff tops from the villages have amazing views of the rock formations jutting into the sea. Photos on this blog taken with phone as I've forgotten to bring the connecting wire for the camera to the notebook.
Then today we visited Duff House where I was delighted to find these 2 paintings on loan

The Pergola by John Lavery

and Les Soles by Picasso.
We've met some locals at Port Gordon

and have had dolphins swimming past the house - however they are quite a way out and I have yet to get a decent photo - watch this space.
