Trying to work out a painting of sand dunes. Not been going too well so attempt no 3 starting today using a revised composition.  Have done grasses before with Sandgrass and Kayak Club - however the difference is that the grasses are the dominant part of the painting and it's daytime.

I decided to take a new approach to the Venice night scene - by doing a totally different picture.  The idea came to me with an about.com painting challenge to use 3 colours - red, blue and brown.  Well, I also had a very nice brown frame ready to use so Days End Venice was created.

The painting I was doing of a Venice evening didn't work out too good so I've decided to bin it. I need to have a re-think on this - maybe use pastels or oils rather than watercolours.
