Art Supplies
A frame (that isn't really right for the painting), a storage box (well it was too good a price to miss), some clear wallets for my cards ( well as I was there I may as well stock up), some burnt umber watercolour (my tube is almost empty so whist I remember) and olive green gouache (haven't got that and you never know when you'll get the urge to paint olives). Then wandered over to the brushes ( just in case someone has invented a new one I've not seen - they hadn't). Remembered that I'd s... Continue reading ...

Here's my latest painting - River Ness. I spent many hours walking through the park along the banks of the river. Bridges and islands criss cross the river allowing you to wander from river bank to river bank. Continue reading ...

Changeover was completed in record time this morning due to my mirror plating team at the Art Circle. All we had to do today was put the paintings in place. I've now got 5 on loan to the hospital for 1 year. It would appear that being the exhibition officer also means you fill the gaps. We've tried to create a range of subjects and media. Here's the ones on loan from me: Continue reading ...

Today / tomorrow will see me in the link corridor at the Bolton General Hospital brandishing my screwdriver as I'm changing Bolton Art Circles permanent display there. Just need to decide which of my own paintings I'm putting up for selection as they'll remain there on loan to the hospital for 12 months. Last Sail and Yellow Pansy which have been there for the last year will be coming home.

Banyan Trees - not good. River Ness - coming along
My painting under the Banyan Trees hasn't turned out too good. I've asked for and been given suggestions from my friends on the painting forum. I've decided that a re-start may be the best thing. So I'm going to leave this for a while whilst I work on my River Ness which is coming along nicely - however there's still plenty of opportunities to wreck this. Continue reading ...

Had another good day in the Eccles Community Gallery yesterday. A few of my friends visited and were very impressed. Quite allot of interest in many of the paintings. Took my new cards along and they're now on show. That's my last time manning the gallery and the paintings will be coming down on the 12th June. I've enjoyed my experience there and fully intend to exhibit again later in the year. Continue reading ...

I'm manning the Eccles Community Gallery tomorrow from 12pm to 4pm - so it would be nice to meet a few people. If you're out and about drop in to have a look at the artwork of local artists ( and I'm always ready for a chat). I may even ask for a bit of feedback on my cards. Continue reading ...
Cards from my Artwork
Have spent some time this week making cards from my artwork images. It's taken me a while to develop my templates. Buying the card, envelopes and packets took some shopping around. But after a few hours effort - I'm printing. Here's the preliminary batch with a few missing as my friend claimed them last night. Continue reading ...
