Spent today getting the March / April exhibition underway at the Eccles Community Gallery. I'm participating this month with my Fauna work. Here's my main display. Spent this morning closing down the Bolton Art Circle exhibition at the Bolton Museum & Gallery. We've had a good show and will be back there in 2014. Next Saturday sees me out with the Art Circle in our first Art Show of the season. We have 16 artists showing their work. I'm displaying a sunset theme. I've put Snowflakes and Snowflakes Too in the Eccles Community Gallery as they were painted using the same techniques as my seasonal cards. So when I get people painting the cards they can see how the method can be applied to bigger works. Plus the paintings are very seasonsal.

I'm in the middle of changing the Bolton Art Circle exhibition in Bolton General Hospital. Today Marion Dutton from Mazart Studio has selected the paintings. Tomorrow we get them on the walls (so it's screwdrivers etc at the ready). Dave the hedgehog who's been on show there is on his way to a new home and the Hedgehog Rescue at Rochdale have a cheque on the way as I've donated the sale price to the charity. Off to look after the Eccles Community Gallery this afternoon. Have decided that if I take work along it may engage with the visitors and encourage them to have a go. Attended meeting with the Gallery staff yesterday to prepare and plan for Bolton Art Circles bienenial exhibition opening 15th Decemeber in Bolton Museum and Gallery. Visited the Art of Ours exhibition yesterday to have a chat with Adam about exhibiting requirements. Adam has worked hard to convert this unused space into a gallery. Spent yesterday in Eccles Commmunity Gallery getting the Aug / Sep exhibition hung. Swinton Camera Club are holding their annual exhibition in the Gallery and there are some excellent photos on show. Took my pencils and sketch pad along to the Gallery yesterday as I was doing a 4 hour stint. It's been awhile since I did some drawing. Below is where I got up to with some lillies. As its easy to carry paper and pencils I think I'll take them along again over the next few weeks. Changeover was completed in record time this morning due to my mirror plating team at the Art Circle. All we had to do today was put the paintings in place. I've now got 5 on loan to the hospital for 1 year. It would appear that being the exhibition officer also means you fill the gaps. We've tried to create a range of subjects and media. Today / tomorrow will see me in the link corridor at the Bolton General Hospital brandishing my screwdriver as I'm changing Bolton Art Circles permanent display there. Just need to decide which of my own paintings I'm putting up for selection as they'll remain there on loan to the hospital for 12 months. Last Sail and Yellow Pansy which have been there for the last year will be coming home.

Yesterday I took down my work in the Eccles Community Gallery. Paintings and cards are packed up and stored ready for their next outing.
This Sunday sees me in St Andrews Church, Bolton Town Centre, representing Bolton Art Circle at the Bolton Festival of Arts. I'll be showing paintings by various club members and generally promoting the Art Circle. I'm taking along Sea Shells and Starfish.
Finally I'm completeing the promotional material today for Bolton Art Circles July Art Show.

Had another good day in the Eccles Community Gallery yesterday. A few of my friends visited and were very impressed. Quite allot of interest in many of the paintings. Took my new cards along and they're now on show. That's my last time manning the gallery and the paintings will be coming down on the 12th June. Today I've submitted 2 paintings into the Bolton Library and Museum Services - Open Art Exhibition 2011. Rocky Sunset Shore and Seashells & Starfish. This is only the 2nd time I've done this. Last time was earlier this year into the exhibiiton of my own Art Club held at the Museum Gallery. I'll be delighted if I actually get a painitng into the exhibition and if not - well another experience as I venture out into the art world on my own.

Busy week this week with sorting out Art Club Exhibitions I've helped change our display at the Royal Bolton hospital, which means I've brought home Chrysanthemum.
And then tomorrow I'm on show at The Wildlife Trust Premises so have been there today settting up the display stands and hanging the pictures. This will be the first time I'm showing Winter Sunset - Jumbles, Rainbows End and Rocky Sunset Shore.
