with cat and landscape prints bookmarks and cards leaving the event ( thank you buyers ). We didn’t finish the picture on the pencil workshop but my student has the techniques to complete the work. I enjoyed attending a tissue paper collage workshop. A few ideas for next years event have been noted. CU again in 2025.

This weekend sees me at the Warcop Art and Craft Exhibition. Saturday 4th May - Monday 6th May. Showing work over the 3 days and running a one pencil workshop on Sunday afternoon. You can find full details of the event here.
A very hot day yesterday so did a little more painting and went out early evening for some interesting wildlife encounters.
As we approach the end of our stay - a few watercolour sketches from the last few days.
Certainly not going to win wildlife photographer of the year with these but here’s a few locals I’ve enjoyed meeting. Some close to home - e.g the alligator in the canal at the back of the house and others in the parks and gardens. Butterflies have been plentiful but haven’t stayed still long enough to catch. We also had a woodpecker drilling the pool cage but he went as soon as I moved to get a shot.
Lovely first night in Florida. Since then we have been poorly with persistent virus. Normal play will be resumed when we are both better.
It’s become an arty Easter. Today I’ve refreshed my work in the EVAN gallery changeover for the EVAN Spring open starting on the 5th April. Here’s what’s going in from me - originals, prints and cards to compliment.
Hung the Brough and Stainmore Art Group Easter Exhibition today. It’s looking good. Here’s the hung items and prints I’m showing.
I took a photo of Wild Boar fell some time ago when the fields in front of the fell were brightly lit. It’s been in my painting pile for some time and seemed to fit the idea I’ve been toying with for a poster like painting. Have to say I am quite pleased with this and now pondering more in this style.
