Saltburn

Enjoyed an outing to Saltburn yesterday.  Traditional seaside resort.  Fish and chip lunch eaten outside.  Fabulous walk along the beach ( with the bonus of sea glass found ).  Then a climb back up the 173 steps in the cliff as the Funicular wasn’t working.  Not the best of photo days but the beach view from the top was worth a few phone shots.

EVAN display

Looking after lots of visitors in the EVAN Gallery today.  Fabulous feedback on the artworks and the vibrant display.  Some items are now on their way to the USA (including one of mine).

Bees, Booms and Butterflies

Bees, Blooms and Butterflies were high on the agenda in the Sunny Gardens at Acorn Bank yesterday. Some photos aren’t quite as sharp as I’d like with breeze and fluttering, so won’t be printed, but ideal to be used as reference for paintings.

Social Media Purchase Requests

After a surge of enquiries to buy artwork recently on social media, I have decided on a standard reply.  Hopefully this will discourage the many spammers whilst politely informing the occasional real enquirer on the best course of action.  Please note spammers will be blocked / banned and if necessary reported.

Pink Poppies ( in Pastel )

Looking at my pastel boxes I had many unused pinks and I’m still working with my gifted greens. Decided on pink poppies which are now finished and in my Flora Gallery.
Prints and cards are also available.
You can see the work in progress from here

Blooms

As I was in the garden this morning looking at my blooms ( having a garden is still a novelty for me ), my thoughts turned to pastels.

The pastels are out at the moment as I continue to work on my pink poppies.

Another Stone Altered

Staying with the stones today.  Another change involved sanding off the cats head.  Then replaced it with a smaller, turned to one side head with larger ears looking at a brighter sun.

Bee Stones Re-visited

After completing last weeks stones, I decided to re-visit ones that had been be painted some time ago. Out came the sandpaper to remove the varnish and roughen the surface, followed by re-shapes of the bees and recolour of the flowers ( inspired by the flowers opening in my recently finished garden now attracting bees ). Here’s the re-vamped versions of the stones.

Phone Edit

Nice amble around the footpaths of Kirkby Stephen yesterday.  Took a scene over the fields of Nateby to Wild Boar Fell on my phone and had a play with the phone photo edit software.  It’s a bit over processed but I do like it.
