As an adopted Cumbrian it was inevitable that I'd start to photograph sheep. They are gentle creatures and I see an intelligence there. A visit to my friends farm in lambing season where the hand reared lambs enjoyed the attention I gave them was something special. Walking in the fields, if you stop amongst them, many do run away, however there are the ones that also stop what they are doing and look back. I find it particularly amusing if I can get a "ewe" reference in the title of the picture.
